CHRIST CHURCH BOOK CLUB
The Christ Church Book Club meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 12:00 PM in the Zander Room. Over the past year the group has read and discussed a wide variety of books both fiction and non fiction covering a wide variety of topics. The following books have been selected for reading during the summer of 2008: HOW TO MAKE AN AMERICAN QUILT by Whitney Otto; A WALK ON THE BEACH : Tales of Wisdom from an Unconventional Woman -- by Joan Anderson; THE WHISTLING SEASON by Ivan Doig, 2007 and LISTENING FOR THE HEARTBEAT OF GOD: A Celtic Spirituality By Philip Newell. EDUCATION FOR MINISTRY
Education for Ministry (EfM) is a program of theological education-at-a-distance of the School of Theology of the University of the South which covers the basics of a theological education in the Old and New Testaments, church history, liturgy, and theology.
Christ Church's EfM group meets on Wednesday evenings. The fall semester will begin again in August with Emily Arents and Nancy Streufert as mentors.
